Don't get the idea that this is something NEW. Last year at the Red Power Round Up there was a SHD-TA at the show. Decals and all.

Some say there was one prototype made, but most people agree that so called "H-TA"s" are a combination job of a 300 farmall and an H

Or the German diesel from a 300 or 450. Heck, Cowman, if these guys keep insisting on building these H-TA"s, one of us may as well start producing the appropriate decals. Looks like the market is trending that way.

Yes, you guys can corner the decal demand. What do you think you will sell, 10 sets. That would be well worth the effort. Myself I think I will do trading cards. Heck, I can produce some gold ones and maybe some black strippers. Hey what do you think??

I heard there is one prototype that didnt get destroyed. I am intrested in building a super HD-TA. Is this posible? First i would need to find a super H. I do have an H but its my grandpas and i dont want to ruin it.

Lots of people have heard lots of things. Doesn't mean they're true. The only person with ANY authoratative information on the subject says ONE Stage III Super H (SHTA) prototype was made, and was destroyed after testing was completed. Everything else is unfounded rumor and conjecture.

Who are you going to believe, the guy who spent countless hours researching in the IH archives, or some old farmer repeating a rumor?

Of course it's possible to build a SHDTA. You take a 350 Diesel, rip the hood and console off, and replace it with Stage II Super H hood, gas tank, and steering post. Good luck finding a 350 diesel. If you do, you'll pay so much for it, you won't want to rip it apart unless you have more money than brains.

Before I found this site, I had planned on doing a SHTA myself. Now, I think I'll just restore my Stage II Super H.

Maybe a white demonstrator would carry it that one step further.

Ummm... who would that be? What I know is that one H-TA was made. There were an unknown number of later test mules made for implement testing that combined parts of Super Hs with test components- didn't even look like a tractor in some circumstances. Those later mules look nothing like the Super H-TAs that are getting produced by collectors.

I think, and I hope, he was talking about you, Guy. I got too blunt the last time we talked about this, so I am not going to say much more, outside of I hope people listen to you this time, Guy.
