I have an 806 Gas with a blown engine. It has been rebuilt way to many times and I have heard of someone putting a 5.9 cummings in them.I was wondering if anyone knows of a kit of any other info on this.
Thanks for any help you can provide,Shannon

Price figures, I once looked into it. I think around 3500-4500 if done yourself, I had a guy tell me that it would be around $10000 for a new motor and to have him do it. Needless to say, I kept the 10000.

In our area some guys are putting in the 414,436&466 engines.I'm working on a 706gas with the 466 truck motor to be installed. You can sometimes buy a IH combine with these motors fairly cheap.

Hello Shannon,
Take a look over on the Oliver board. There is a guy on there that has done the cummins swap on a few Olivers. He probably could give you some ideas on doing this swap. Why not instead put an IH diesel into it? I would think that it would be a lot easier and most likely cheaper. In the 1980's prior to joining the military I worked in a few garages. There was always an 806 coming in from time to time and they sure were a pleasure to work on and work with in the fields.

later days mate,
Jim

I don't know where you are, but there is an AGCO dealer that does Cummins conversions regularly on different brands. Hunley's in Austin In.
