Does anyone know any tricks to free up a stuck f20? It sat in a corn crib for years.Would like to get it to run without dissassembling motor.

This is a common question, there are lots of creative ideas in old posts, if you "search". My "miracle freeing agent" this week is "Rust Check". It's that uncoating rust control for cars. It really creeps and boils. I use it on my tractors because of the salt on our winter roads. I freed up two cubs lately with it. They had been worked on, and soaking for years with oil. I put a jack under a connecting rod and left a constant presure on it. It took less than a week, without a big hammer. But...patience and a gentle hand (at first) is required.

I've unstuck a few F-20's in my day and always I've had to take the head off. Pull the spark plugs and make sure a mouse nest is not in a cylinder. Pour your cocktail in each cylinder and pull the valve cover. Check to make sure none of the valves are stuck and soak them as well. It's always a good idea to rehone your cylinders and replace the rings on a stuck engine. It keeps from a costly engine rebuild later. You only need to pull the head and oil oan to hone and replace rings. Good luck.

I"m sure you"ll get lots of ways to free it up, just please remember to pull the valve cover and check to make sure there are no stuck valves before you do anything. I watched a man snap a perfectly good rocker in half when the engine came free but he had a valve stuck closed. my .02, Kevin
