Allan, Here in Michigan, a lot of the Beet growers are using 10 or 12.5 in wide X42 in either single rear or duals which straddle the rows. When I first saw this, I did a double take as I had not seen such skinny tires except for spaayers in a long time. Each year, It seems to be getting more popular for both Sugar Beets as well as Potatoes, and even dry beans.

FK,

It's an 886. They didn't make many of those did they?

I always have to take a second look when I see a tractor set up like this. Lotta these guys still use the 22" rows in beets, so all their cultivator, planter, and harvest tractors are set up small-tired.

Yeah I know. Look pretty wacko, don't it?

But I guess they get the job done. They are asking $13500 for the tractor with 5425 hours and those scrawny wheels and tires.

Here's a couple of more shots.

I can see going skinny, but why so short? That tractor's rear is gettin awful close to the ground....I don't know much about sugar beet pickin, so be gentle.
