Looking to model a crated 10-20 as part of a model railway flatcar load. Came across a picture of them being crated on the University of Wisconsin website. Date 1929.

I require overall dimensions & photo(s) of 10-20.

May look to turning project into magazine article if I can get enough info.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ben Van Veldhuizen

The University of Wisconsin would be very surprised to hear they have tractor photographs on the web. In fact, it's the Wisconsin Historical Society that has them, two very different organizations.

Guy,

You are indeed correct. Brain spasm on my part.
The Wisconsin Historical Society website is amazing.

1929 eould be the gear drive mcCormick deering 10-20.
length 118, width 62 inches, height 55 inches. shouldn't be too hard to find lots of pictures on the web. i can help you hunt if you have trouble. I have a 10-20 here in the yard and can take measurements.

Cowman,

Hy and thanks. I asked Harold about the height before I saw yours. Thanks to you both.

The dealer's train shot must be amazing. (Yes, I am jealous).

I'll keep it in mind about any follow-up measurements.

Thanks. Much appreciated.
Ben

Oh, BTW I have a dealer picture about 3 feet long panoramic veiw of a train load of Farmall Regulars "Farmall Special for Lincoln Nebraska" taken about 1929 Burlington Northern steam power, 6 Farmalls to the flatcar and a whole train full. Pretty awesome and NO it's NOT for sale.

I'm not sure which 10-20 you are talking about.

IHC Titan 10-20, front wheel diameter 36", front wheel face 5 1/2", tread front 33", drive wheel diameter 54", drive wheel face 10", tread rear 46", wheelbase 91", total length 147", total width 60", total height 66 3/4", approx shipping wt 5710 lbs, export approx 7300 lbs, export approx meas'em'ts 230 cu ft.

IHC McCormick 10-20, front wheel diameter 30", front wheel face 4 1/2", tread front 45 1/2", drive wheel diameter 42", drive wheel face 12", tread rear 48", wheelbase 78", total length 123",
total width 60", approx shipping wt 4265 lbs.

Hope this information helps.

Harold,

I was looking for the McCormick 10-20 but certainly thanks for both. Would you have a total height measurement on the McCormick?

Ben
