I live in Wisconsin and have used Rustsolvo and would like to obtain some more. Where can I locate a store or provider that carries this great product.

Thanks!

For what it does per dollar, I have found no better buy than PB Blaster. Has it all over Liquid Wrench...WD 40 is not a penetrant.

Used correctly, and given time to work, PB Blaster just plain works.

rustsolvo from chesterton laboratories got a break lever unstuck for me that i had tried heating, kroil, blaster, and brute force to get free. a few drops of rustsolvo and a couple hours later i tugged on the lever and it was loose. i swear by this stuff

Ive actually used Liquid wrench since I was about fifteen years old.Recently I purchased my first can of aerokroil. It seems ok.I know of one recipe that calls for Marvel mystery oil, lacquer thinner and whatnot.Im sure each guy could sucessfully invent something good by mixing it himself.

WD-40 or liquid wrench. If you want to make your own, brake fluid and diesel fuel mixed 50-50. PB blaster, Kroil, and all others are over-hyped, over-priced, and over-rated.

My vote goes to Gibbs..... ...PB is ok, Kroil is junk along with WD-40.

PB Blaster hands down. WD-40 was not, never intended to be a penetrating oil, or a lubricant. It was developed as a water displacement.

Exactly.WD40 doesnt penetrate at all.As a lubricant it disappears after only a few hours. And its flammable so I wouldnt be using it to dry out a wet distributor cap either.
Basically,WD40 is only good for one thing....wiping down rifles so they dont rust. Its original purpose.

Now how could a product that absorbs moisture and captures it be good to prevent rust? It actually ENCOURAGES rust.It also works to remove the blueing on anything that was rust blued, like fine old Winchester, Parkers, AH Fox etc. And anything case hardened. NEVER BUT NEVER use wd-40 on a firearm, anywhere. To prevent rust wipe down with new hi-tech synthetic gun oil. Or at least good old 3 in 1 oil. Check with your local gunsmith. he will concur with this.

I agree with PaulIH about Kroil and PB Blaster. Kroil is grossly overpriced and PB Blaster is much cheaper and available at WM.

I always felt I was suckered when I bought the Kroil!

I would say its a toss up between Kroil and PB Blaster.Although some say that Cyclo is good as well.Liquid Wrench and WD40 doesnt have as many fans nowadays as once...
(I have no feedback for 5-56,ScrewLoose or Knock 'er Loose).

I was a maintenance supv at a chemical plant for 40yr,and i can tell you without a doubt, silikroil isthe best, kroil loosens it if your patient and the silicone lets it slide off smooth.
