I found a International McCormick Deering W6 WBK 17328 tractor that runs on propane. It is a project and was wondering if it would be worth picking up. the man wants $300 for it and it seems pretty complete

dave,
As far as I know Mccormick never made a W-6 LP. It would have to be a aftermarket dealer installed option. Some did an excellent job converting them and others did care how they cut the sheetmetal.

I don't know where your located at but that is something you don't see everyday. May not be original but it will still draws a crowd. Yes you may end up sticking money into it, what tractor doesn't require money. You can spend 2000-4000 for a nicely restored tractor but it's still doesn't have that personal affect of getting the tractor looking good.

With all the tractor trading that has taken place in the last few years you could end up with a nice dupont over haul and still spend some dollars. For 300.00 and it runs thats a good start. How's the tires, thats will probably be the biggest expense.

$300, sure -- particularly if it runs. But,you will have to put a LOT of money in it.
