Been gone to an auction all day and just got in. Thought I'd let you know that a pretty little yellow 330 is sitting in the yard. Don't know quite how except I just kept bidding. What realy hurts is the early M that I needed to help a guy out I couldn't get bought. I try to get a picture soon. My friend thinks I can double my money but I'm not sure I want to sell. (and there's NO WAY I can double my money, got way too much in it for that!)

Hey NC I've had my 330 since 1964. It's been a great little tractor, I've baled hay with mine (IH 45 & 330 kicker), plowed (3 bottom fast hitch) etc. It's done everything i've asked of it. I have since supplemented it with an IH 606 Gas and a JD 2130 diesel. Currently in the process of restoring it.

Thats why I had to stop buying. I thought I could put a little TLC into something and make money. When it comes to sell, I cant. Ive been on a dry spell for a couple of years, but Im getting the itch to buy.

Hey guys don't get into somethig that is less costly and smaller. After a little more than 15 months I have over 40 chainsaws. Most are McCulloch with a Mall and a couple of others. Great fun to make a saw as old as ME run again and you can take them to shows on one Small trailer. Last show I had 18 saws with me and you would never beleave how many grins you get when folks see a saw their dad, unkle, grand dad, etc had. I was raised on a farm and some day I will need a tractor. Now I need a BIG shed in the back yard! Jeffcat

Yeah Jeffcat, bet those old saws can be fun. Do you by any chance have a McCullogh 5-49 or 7-55? When I was growing up that's what was used on our farm, my uncle and I cut a lot of hardwood timber with them....seems like he was sharpening chains every night with his Dumore grinder in the basement after milking and supper. We had a sawmill too, kept the house warm with slabwood in the furnace and edgings and split slabs in the cookstove. Those old 2 man saws could cut a lot of timber, but they wore you out like the crosscut because you tried to cut so much. We cut trees all over the area for logs to make rough lumber for neighboring farmers. We skidded the logs out and hauled them to our mill, sawed them to the desired spec's, then hauled the cut lumber back. All this was done with a W6 and an H with a No. 31 IH loader and heavy duty built farm wagons. We powered the sawmill with a 30-60 Rumely S Oil Pull. It was a pretty exciting place to grow up.

Being an old saw buff, would you possibly know where I could find any info on Mono-Lite saws? They were built in St. Louis, but I haven't come up with anything other than that. Thanks for any assistance y'all can give, it is appreciated.

Hey jeffcat, you would'nt know were I could find one of those big old Homelite's from the late 60's early 70's,, Dont know the the series number, but the bar was about 6 inches tall, and it took 2 men and a small boy to hold onto it. I have some fond memories of one of those from my childhood, just have not seen one in years. Thanks, Brian
