Got the front end on and all the holes drilled .Thanks for the tip about using the floor jack It worked great ..My M now has wide front,power steering and three point I may do live power as I have a pump of a MTA but I really dont want to move the battery box..Do you have any sugestions there.. Thanks again ..Jim

That's great news Jim,

Oh yeah, ya gotta rig up that live power. I think there is a law that says ya have to have that power steering, ya know. :>)

I wouldn't think he'd necessarily has to. My boss's H with Charlynn has its' own powersteering pump like a car has. That H with a narrow front is pretty sweet though, it has power steering and a M&W live pump. We use that tractor for everything: spraying,raking pulling wagons and especially for backing wagons if only it had an overdrive.

My Dad used to use the belly pump for a reservior, but broke the key in the distributor drive gear on a few occasions running the hydraulic system out of oil with the one-way cylinders on the dump trailer.

Two winters ago, he mounted a 5 gallon reservoir up under the gas tank next to the stock battery box. It sticks out a little, but not too bad, and fits right where the belt pully would go.

Remove the belly pump, strip it of all the internals, and then you can use it as a reservoir. You can use the drain plug for thr inlet to the pump, or drill it out bigger if you need more capacity.
