has anyone out there ever heard of a 1468 wheatland? I found a 1468 forsale that has no 3 point hitch, and a drawbar kind of like an old M. The owner said this was the way it came from the factory.I own 6 1468's so I'm pretty familiar with them but, this one does look different the owner says it is a wheatland.Any info would be apprecited thanks.

Does it have the setup for the three point arms? My brother's 1456 had the "M" style hitch on it when he bought it with the three point arms removed, one trip to the salvage yard and an afteroon's work and it looked like any other tractor.

IH did not offer the 1466 or 1468 in a Wheatland model. On previous Wheatland models (International) the wide front was not adjustable and set back under the front further than the Farmall models. The Power Steering cylinder was mounted paralell and just under the right hand front frame were as the Farmall power steering cylinder mounted under the front and actually to the wide front stay rod bracket. Now there was an option for high coverage fenders like the wheatland tractors used. There were three draw bars available for l466/68 tractors. One came with the tractor when equiped with a 3 point. Tractors without a drawbar had one that bolted directly to the rear of the tractor and the other attached to the rear axle via drop down brackets and had stablizers that attached to the drawbar and up to the sides of the rearend housing.

Oh, interesting. I've seen a legitimate 1066 Wheatland model on more than one occasion, and just figured they made the entire line in Wheatland versions.

There is such an animal. Up through the '66/'68 series, they still made "Farmall" and "International (Wheatland)" versions.

Check the serial tag. It should say I-1468 instead of F-1468.

Admittedly, the differences between the Farmall and International versions of the tractor were minor by this time. When the '86 series came around, they did away with the different versions.
