I'm getting conflicting information on a 3 point for my 300 utility.I want to update to a new unit with 2 hydraulic cylinders my current unit has one and uses part of the draw bar kind of a home made affair that works but I dont think it will pull to good since the actual draw bar is missing,it keeps cracking on the cylinder side.I'm wondering if a aftermarket 3 point for a 300 ,M or an H would work one gentleman who builds and sells these says the 300 u is too low ,Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks Bob

Do you have a 2-point fast-hitch?

If so, depending on what you want to do, all you need to do is to buy the adaptor prongs and a top link. IHC actually intended for it to
adaptable this way, so there is a place to put
the top link on the rockshaft.

We use ours with a 6' King Cutter rotary and
a 7-foot King Cutter blade for snow plowing,
and it works fine. You have to figure out the
nuances of locking down-force in and out and
controlling whether it can sway or not (just
where you put pins) but it really is just fine.

Oh...the fast hitch ain't so fast this way, and
it takes some practice to get the prongs on
the implement, back up to just the right spot,
set them into the receivers, and then back down
to lock them.

I am not sure what the guy means by saying the 300U is too low? I believe it is lower than the 300 row crop but I have converted my 300U to a three point hitch with few problems. However, I had the benefit of an existing 2-point fast hitch as a starting point. Here is a link with some drawings that may help the creative process, good luck.

Thanks I have seen that picture,I guess I"ll just have to get out my measurin tape.I thought maybe the 300 and the 300U rear ends were about the same except for the tire size?My neighbor has one of these aftermarket 3 points on his M but the rear end looks different, well I"ve got my torch and my welder if it comes to that!
