That's normal for the wet sleeves to slide in easily. Leakage usually occurs from the seal, if the area in the block where they're installed isn't cleaned thoroughly. Hal

We overhauled my 460D one time sleeves went in easy, too easy a few years later, and not that many hrs one sleeve was laying in the pan and all the holes were egg shaped. I had to have the block bored, get over size OD sleeves. The other 3 sleeves came out with the pistens.

If you used dish soap or other rubber lube on the "O" rings, they will slide in slick'ern snot.

Yep, they are beaters to get out sometimes and then a person wonders, when the O-Rings are well lubed, what is wrong and why when they slide in and set so much easier. That seems to be the norm. I recall from years ago when I rebuilt torpedoe engines that the easier the sleeve 'snapped' into place the better the seal as the rubber seal either rolled or slid equally around the sleeve. If the O-Ring pinched and/or the sleeve was very hard to set, it meant the O-Ring had twisted because it wasn't lubed enough or it had caught on something as it was pressed in.

do you have the old sleeves?? If so, measure the OD of the sealing land of the old sleeve vs The new sleeve. If the sealing land is larger in diameter on the old sleeve, then you actually have a C123 engine as used in the late super A, Super C, 100, & 200..

Yes we pulled this trick. Thought we had an A, was really a super and didn't check when the sleeves went in too easily. Ended up filling the crankcase with coolant. Good dealer took back the new/old ones and gave us the correct sleeves/pistons etc. Paid $800 for the engine kit from CaseIH, but being able to take back wrong parts was worth it!

I measured them befoe I installed them. They only got easy after I lubed um. My concern is I can pull them back out without much effort. Jus don't seem right as hard as the originals were stuck but I guess they was mostly rust stuck.
Thanks
