1956 400d runs great,has good ta,nf,ps,one owner tractor, good decals,fuel gauge, everything is origanal, how much could this tractor bring? thanks

What a nice old tractor!! I can still hear those things beller when ya throw the shuttle levers.

I think you did great on your buy! Wish I had one, but I'm "tractor poor" now. :>(

? is the part of the hood where the "Farmall" is written supposed to be white? I know it is on the 450.

Grille and hood under "Farmall" is white on 50 series, red on 00 series. Since the grille is red, I assume it's a 400, but it could be a 450 with a 400 grille, or it could have a 450 hood, also. 400 or 450 serial number prefix along with C264 or C281 in raised letters on the block should tell the story.

That's D264, etc, not C if it's a diesel.

It appears to have the small fuel tank didn't all the 450's have the deep one. see if the starter button is in the dash or in the metal below
