We recently picked up an old IHC pitman arm type sickle mower with some other parts and need to know the model #. It is PTO to belt driven pitman with 7' cut; semi mount off pivoting flat drawbar (goes to a C or H or something non hyd), and has single tail wheel in rear. I hate to ask dumb questions, but I am not up on my antique implements.
We also need the clamp part on the end of the wooden pitman that connects it to the ball on the cutter bar. What is that part called, and anyone know where to look for one? 501 Ford, AC, or even scrap horse drawn have the same part? I am kind of at a loss because of it's age compared to mine and any info from you guys will certainly go a long way on this one for me.
Thanx; Tom S. in Tn.

Got a couple of the cycle ball clamp ends for the outer end of pitman stick. Where can new wood sticks be found?

Call 1 717 543 5136 MONDAY and get your part/s. If the wood pitman is bad, ya might see about if they have new ones, or know where you can get them. Buy 2, if you intend to use it. Keeping a spare pitman rod never hurts

Several models fit that general description. Given 7' cut and hand lift, a 25 or 25V would be a good guess.

The parts on the outer end of the pitman are:
- Pitman latch fork
- pitman spring plunger
- pitman plunger spring
- rear pitman strap
- front pitman strap

These parts are either identical or close enough on most IH sickle mowers.
