Yes you can get those steel balls at the dealer but you probly shouls have the seat lapped also. I would think more along the lines of you picked up to much weight and blew out the seals in the loader cylenders. Happened to my H JON

mag man can you tell me more about seat lapped and how i should do this or get this done and you think that i blew out the seals on the cylinders on the loader it self? and do you know where i can get new seals for the loader cylinders and is there seals in the belly pump or are the steel balls the only seals? thanks

The only seal in the pump is on the drive shaft. If it leaked you would see it underneath the tractor, and this would affect lifting power not holding power. I can't imagine damaging the steel balls all at once, seems more logical problem is in one or both cylinders. Is there a return line going back into tractor from the cylinders? If not when the cylinders are damaged they will blow oil out the top when you raise them.

yes one of the hydraulic cylinders leaks oil out the top but it only does it when you put it up as far as it will go and no more fluid is in the pump to push it up any farther, but it has done that for a couple of months

I cant remember how I did it its been so long I found another steel ball I beleve that was a little bigger???? I think and used some valve grinding compound and a stick and epoxyied it to the ball and worked it around to clean the seat a machine shop could do it quick like they grind a valve seat. But Like the other said thats just the ball seats to hold back the hyd pressure. I had a loader and I rebuilt my pump about 6 different times I was so P#$% untill I took the cylenders off and took them to the local hydrolic shop and they found new neaprene seals for me and machined a few pucks to push on them right. Wow what a difference and I ended up with one heck of a pump to LOL. JON

Those are the shimms I beleve that shim the pump gears away from the body you would need a manual fro more info. You would have to do a search or look in the yellow pages for someone in youe area that does hydrolic repair work. Take them one of the cylenders or tare one down and take them the tube and seal and they should be able to help you. JON

If the ball has grooves in it that should be the problem.
