Glad you got it started. If you had hook a sparkplug to the sparkplug wire and grounded the plug against the engine. You would see the plug
wasn't firing even though you had fire from the plug wire. Now you can reset those valves. Hal

Good For You! Thats why you always check the little things first. I tore my first harley down for rebuilding when it started to run on 1 cyl. Thought I blew it up or something I took it to my mechanic and he Agreed with me and said I dont see where anything is wrong. Honed it put new rings in and put it back together. A few days later it did the same thing come to find out one of the push rod lock nuts came loose and the adjuster turned and opened one of the valves. And thats why I lost a cylinder. All that work and money for a simple fix that I should have checked first. But thats how we learn I guess. JON

Hi Jon, Did Tanner ever get his tractor started?
He may have had the same problem as Joe Farmallman
did. I haven't seen any postings this year. It's snowing like crazy here in MD today. It was 70 degrees yesterday. Hal

Hi Joe, We even screw up every now and then and think the worse. Somtimes it's a minor problem.
You should change the oil and filter in that old tractor and grease the steering. Those front wheel bearings need to be cleaned and repacked with new wheel bearing grease. Have fun at the FFA parade. Hal
