Does anyone know what model Marvel-Schebler carb was supposed to be on the Farmall BN tractor? I cannot find any numbers that correspond to anything anywhere. All I can tell you is it is a Marvel-Schebler and I need a repair kit. Needless to say, there are a lots of choices but which one is right? Bout ready to throw it away and buy a new carb but, maybe someone has some helpfull information. Thanks

What is the matter with your carb ?

Take the float bowl gasket to your local tractor parts dealer or Ace Hardware and look for the carb kit that has one like it. Then go to your IH dealer and get a needle and seat.

Alot of the marvel carbs I have seen had a tag that bolted on to the bolts that holds the carb together. Many times that tag never gets put back on when the carb is taken apart. I have a TEMCO book that shows the marvel # on an A or B as tsx157. I would think most aftermarket or IH dealers would show a kit for the B tractor without needing the carb #, as long as you are sure it is a Marvel carb.

I am not very familiar with the Farmall A, B, C, or your BN, but there should be a tag of some sort on that carb. I know the Farmall H has a very small, round brass tag, held in place with a rivet right through the center of the tag. Don't throw your carb away, once it is rebuilt I think it will be better than a new one. Sorry I can't help you more. If I were closer I would rebuild it for you.
