THanks to all i found a good used thermo housing and it works great went up to 150 just on a short trip doubled the power. it'll probably get warmed under load and even run betterthanks again. ON to the next thing very little antif. leaking out of the left side head gasket I checked the torque on that side and it had loosened an 1/8th of a turn on the 90 ft torque spec what should i do about the bolts you can not get to under the valve cover and rocker arm asy. let them go or tear fuel tank and everything else back down thanks

Trent,

Did you retorque your head bolts after you ran it for awhile, your supposed to. I know its a pain but its necessary. Just tightening a few bolts is asking for a cracked head or blown head gasket. Make sure its warmed up when you retorque. I know a guy that has a small fuel tank made with the proper connections so you can run the tractor then retorque the head. Works slick and saves a lot of time and work from not having to remove the fuel tank. BTW what did you have to give for your thermostat housing, I'am going to try to locate one this week so I can get to work on mine. Planting time is fast approaching, time sure fly's by!!
