I found a 311 fast hitch plow near home. Not sure if I want to part with the $175. The shins and coulters are worn quite a bit. Couldn't see the points real well, but I suspect they are worn. Is there a difference between the plows that that are used on the utilities and the Farmalls? Are the 311 plows a pretty good plow?

I have a set of fast hitch plows, but they have a one piece fork that curves up instead of bolting on like the 311. They slide up into the main beams and are pinned in. I don't know what model they are. I guess I need to look that up or post a picture to find out.

I guess my question is, can you ever have to many fast hitch plow????

No, you can never have to many fast hitch implements period. You can't exactly go to the dealer and buy a new one. I have 3 3-14's and a 4-14. No idea what model they are but then again I have never tried to figure it out. Price your parts to make it usable and then figure out if it is still worth that to you. Around here (mid-MI) 3 bottom fast hitch brings about 200-250. The 4 bottom depending on condition 250-1250.

As long as they have the super cheif bottoms you will be fine but if they are the plow cheif it will break the bank buying the points shears and shins ya can rebuild the coulters . And also make sure that they are the trip bottom and not the shear bolt they are a pain in the donkey here in the buckeye with or 100-150 bpa corn and 600bpa rocks.
