I have a M and a woods 84 mower that did not have an overrun clutch on it when I bought it. I didn't like the push I got from the mower when I tried to stop. So I bought a overrun clutch at the local farm store. My question is there seems to be no spring lock for it to snap onto the pto shaft on the tractor. The mower shaft has one and is secured to the cluch, but the clutch after a pass or two slides off of the tractors pto. Can you tell me what I need or what I am doing wrong to keep this shaft secured to the tractors pto shaft?

Thank You
Mike

On the overrun couplers I have seen, you take the grease fittings out and a pin goes through the hole in the pto shaft. Then you put the grease fitting back in. You should have had a round pin come with it.
