if it was just opened up and it had 1/2 but jammed going to 3/4 that'd be 2nd sliding gear in backwards( do no ask why our 1066 was split 3 times for one t/a) but that's not where your problem is anyhow.

You buy the Lear, I'll fly it. Have over 4000 hours in fast movers such as the F-4, F-14, T-38,
A-4, and a few slow movers like the F-86 and the P-51. Yeah, I'm an ex Navy jock.

Well on them if you have woren parts from the shift lever on down to the top cover and if you have a couple of broken rollers on the shift rails or a sloppy collar it can give ya fits . Start at the top and work your way down the steering support to the cover . Is there a bunch of ware on the cam??? , are as i call them the cub cadet tie rod end sloppy on the shifter?? , are they loose?? , Since there is not that many pices on the 1-4 shifter it is not had to figure out if the linkage on top is good and adjusted correctly then the problem has to be in the cover. Yea i know you did not want to hear that since you have to pull the steering support up to get it off. What i need is a Lear Jet so i could fly around and fix everbodys problems.

And what seems to be the hold up on getting the Lear Jet? I am sure that you could find a qualified pilot until you pass all of your quals and get your own pilot license. :>) Randy

Well ah it is this money thing as far a getting my ticket that would not take long as i use to fly. I would be happy with a turbo baron.
