Did you guys in the triangle formed by Flint, Imlay and Saginaw. see and elderly couple in a burgandy Buick with ON plates travelling your country roads this afternoon. Well I was lost, didn't have some of the particulars I have written down about where some of you guys are, with me.

Lot of old iron and a good bit of it Farmall, along those sideroads in that triangle. Very nice country side you have there. Every time I would see and arrow saying I-69 or I-75, in the distance off the other way I could see a good old letter series Farmall. The distractions you guys have are quite numerous.

Anyhow, by late afternoon we found Port Huron and arrived home safley just a few minutes ago. If you guys have any better suggestions on where to get lost in MI, kindly advise? I will have to come back as I didn't see it all.

Hi Hugh, Turn right off the bridge, and head out to the North Road. You will be inprime sugar beet country. then head uo to Croswell and see the suger beet plant. From there, head to Lexington. Can't remember what's there, but there should be a tractor or two. Then you go on up the thumb to Bad Axe ( Naughty Hatchet !) Then start heading to Frankenmuth for a great Bavarian feast, and let your wife shop at Bronner's Christmas Plant. She will then let you buy any Farmall you find and she will probably even fill out the forms in Sarnia for you! Have Fun! P.S. I used to live on the North Road at North Street.

Kent: You are about the 6th person to recomend Frankenmouth and the Bavarian Feast. First time I've seen it recomended at YT, but SW Ontarians know about it.

Hugh, The next time you decide to get lost here in Mid-Michigan, try going west on Tittabawassee Rd for about 15 miles from the "Z" Bridge, and someone here will guide you to some of the dangdest farm land and perhaps a few nice old Farmalls to boot. I"ll have the Missus keep an eye out for that Wine colored buick. Was a nice day for a ride in the country, wasn"t it?

Paul: I think you gave me that all before. When Marg. and I left home yesterday morning we had no idea where we were going. Her being a good Cape Bretoner, her first request was see a large body of water. I told he the best view in these parts is from top of Bluewater Bridge. Of course customs was whizzing them through yesterday so no line ups thus no sitting on bridge. Last year geneb was here, on his way home he got to park on top the bridge for awhile. He later remarked to me in an e mail about the view.

Next time I will take those particulars with me. Easter Sun. not the best day to distrub people from their families. Remember also it is no farther from Saginaw to Strathroy than it is from Strathroy to Saginaw. I will be back. Where we got lost was in the Lapeer area. At one point we were quite a bit north of Lapeer.

What do you mean elderly, I'm about 5 years older than you are and I refuse to be elderly. Gonna get me some day, though.

CNKS: Well I couldn't see the use of young and handsome being appropriate. Middle age is starting to wear out. My friends tell me, senior citizen is the right term, but I feel elderley gives me a bit more leway.

What I can tell you Charles, those MI guys have some nice looking old letter series Farmalls, parked in their yards on those sideroads in Central MI.

Don't see many letter series around here, good thing because I would probably have more that I don't need. Senior citizens have "senior moments", I have "stupid attacks", as when I got my finger caught between the stud and bolt hole when installing the head on my Super H, yup, the resulting knot under the skin is still there.

Hugh:
I have enough trouble manuvering through Toronto let alone another country...I always get turned around in there and end up being hours late for whatever i'm going to. You ought to come up here sometime for a drive...lots of stuff to see and i'd even buy you dinner! Happy Easter!

Jeff

Jeff: Careful, I might take you up on that. Shortly after I moved to Strathroy 3 years ago, a guy asked me if I could find Frances St. in London. I said, yes, no problem, one of the first things I did after moving here was get lost in London. Now if you stay lost in a city the size of London for 4 hours, you learn a lot.

I can think of some spots in some cities, you may even learn things you don't want to know.

The last weekend of july there is a very nice tractor and steam show in mason. It is about 15 miles south of lansing on US 127. Barnes road exit. Can't miss it. I live about 7 miles south of the grounds. Would be glad to meet up with ya for some lunch or dinner. Matt

Matt: Now Mason, right there is the crux of the whole problem, last Mon. I went to Mason with a trucker picking up a load of corn at the elevator in Mason. From the time we left Port Huron I said this country has to be ripe with old Farmalls. Once a guy gets the lay of the land from a truck seat on the Interstate, I can smell a Farmall, almost as well as a revenurer can smell shine.

Well Hugh we have a few Farmall's at the old farm. I know of over a hundred within a 10 mile radius of the farm. And the elevator is just about 10 miles from the farm. If you decide to shoot over this way again drop a line on the board. I usually check every day.

Matt: I will be back, I haven't seen a very high percentage of MI yet. Just noticed my misspelling of the word YOU. YUY, I know better than that, just my blommin fingers playing tricks.

That show in Mason sounds interesting. Have to check that out. I will keep in touch.
