Some of you folks may have been following what I have been trying to do. Which is trying to save/rescue some of the old tractors that have been bought to be sold for scrap metal. I resently bought a 300 LP, and drove it to my place. I was called last night about a Farmall M with a WFE. My wife and I went to look at it this evening, but it turned out to be, what I believe, a SMTA on LP. The serial tag was not readable, and all the sheet metal had surafce rust so I could not make out any model letter. But it has a TA, IPTO, remote control hydraulics, home made front end loader and a heavy duty wide front end (in excellent tight condition). I believe it to be an original Farmnall IH type. The motor is stuck, but I was able to buy it anyway. He also had picked up 2- Farmall H's, so I made a deal with him to buy all three and he is going to deliver them to my place. I have had a lot of contact from folks, and even though I really did not want to become a part time old tractor used parts guy, it seems folks are more interested in parts, than whole tractors. So I guess I will part out some, especially ones with stuck motors. It sure is starting to take a LOT of time and money, but I really believe it is important to get them away from the scap metal dealers, so I will do what I can for a while, and see what happens. And yeah, I am "FOR REAL"
