I have a 1977 364 International that the right lift arm is leaking hydralic fluid pretty bad, here"s my question, can I get to the seal by just taking the lift arm off or do I have to go deeper? This thing is making a mess on the back of the tractor and I end up moping it off with my clothes while hooking up. Help would be appreciated thanks.

No one has ever changed seals on the lift arm shaft? I need to know what to do, I don't have a Case IH shop anywhere in this area. I need a little help here I don't want to tear into the thing untill I know where to start. Help

I don't know the machine well enough to even try to sound intelligent. Is it a cylinder that's leaking or is it the rockshaft? Cylinders generally need to be disassembled to change seals. Don't know more than that, sorry. Otherwise post again. Somebody knows, maybe tractor vet.

I don't know what you are calling a rock shaft, it is leaking where the right lift arm attaches to the tractor, the 364 is about the same as the b-414 if that helps, I don't think it is the cylinder that is leaking, when you work the tractor hyd fluid just leaks out from around the shaft and runs down the back of the tractor.

Davy, I also own an IH364 but I have no leaks where you describe. But, I just bought an IT shop manual off eBay that should show how to fix it. I bought it today so it will be several days before it arrives. I'll look at it when I get it and see what it says. Write me back in a couple of weeks in case I forget.
