Where's the darned rear light mounted on your 766? Is it over on the fender or where?

I can't remember where they went; all I know is, this sure as heck isn't right.

That's how the old tractor was! I remembered it was up high like that, but just couldn't bring up the mental image. Gotta get some reflectors stuck on there too, I see. :>)

Just out of curiosity, does your tractor have 16.9 X 38 tires on it?

When I was a kid and got a new toy, the first thing I always had to do was pull the silly wheels off of it. I'm now 60 years old and realize that this hasn't changed one little bit. I've still got some issues going on with this tractor.

Darned seat frame was rebuilt and re-bushed, but it doesn't set square to the world for some reason; it leans to the left and it won’t adjust right. Filled the tractor will fuel yesterday, and the fuel gauge quit working at 1/4 tank. Neutral Safety switch and the lights are wired up wrong, etc., etc.

Lots of little things to fix and I've got the front sheet metal tore off of the old bear and strung all over the yard. :>)

Here's a picture I took while the tractor was still in the shop. When I get 'er throwed back together, I'll shoot some more.

The first time I saw it, kinda snapped my neck. Kept tellin' 'em I wanted the old original look and to get those 966 badges on there.

Glad they didn't listen to me, 'cause I'm really starting to like the "86 series" look now.

When I get it all put back together again, I'll take some pictures out in the sunlight. That is where she really jumps at ya.

I'd better get 'em snapped right away, 'cause once the tractors are back to new, I gots a really bad habit of just ignorin' 'em and taking 'em for granted.

Old H and 686 are screamin' "Wash Me". :>)

Got the L-shaped bracket alright, but it for sure is in the wrong area 'cause when I bring the 3-poing up, that left arm sets right directly in front of the light.

Tractor had a Heniker cab, so had to have been dealer installed somewhere along the line.

Wiring is another matter, this one is jerry-rigged from the word go and the factory plug in is still down under the platform.

All in good time I guess.

Now that Casey put up that picture, I really think he is right, except in thinking back, my old one was mounted just to the inside top of the left rear part of the fender.

I'm pretty sure the bracket came "across" towards the middle of the tractor from the fender.

Wasn't it the 656s that mounted down on that pedestal area like that? Darned if I know.

Those adaptors were on there so the previous owner could plug in his loader (I guess). Also, I gotta adjust the float on the levers; last guy used electric over hydraulic and I don't think that they are set right.

Anyway, never liked the tiny dudes, they are going to see Jeasus just as soon as I can find some rubber plugs. Think they got 'em in at the tractor supply, not sure tho.

I wanna get all these tiny little 'fixes' done so I can get back on that Cylco and power her up and make sure the hyudraulic blower is working okay.

Gotta get that old beast outta the yard and back out to the lot.

i don't know if it's right but that's where mine is. on the left fender right on top. everything about the tractor is original so i don't know why the location of the light wouldn't be.
