Have all the fluids at capacity. Valves lashed, distributor timed, spark plugs and points gapped. water and oil temp guages installed. Ummmm, tractor was disassembled when I bought it, so I have never had it running. Hope to heck the clutch and hand clutch, as well as transmission work when the engine is running to test them out.

Take the spark plugs out and turn it over until the oil pressure comes up. Don't let it slow idle for the first 20 minutes. Look for leaks, adjust the carb, etc. Spend an hour working it harder and harder until it gets warmed up. You might have to put a woven bag or something over the radiator it get it up to temperature. Let it cool off and retorque the head. Get it warmed up again and adjust the valves.
