Went to a loal farm auction in western ohio, the owner was in jail.Seems the owner sold the farm and couldn"t get the guy to leave. The judge gave him 30 days and he did nothing,so he ordered his stuff sold and the farmer was put in jail the night before the auction. He must have had over
100 pallets of IHC parts, and 15 flat bed wagons
full of parts,a lot of new old stock stuff plus
7 tractors.

Hi Ray,

I saw that sale advertised but had forgotten about it, but was busy yesterday any how. Did you happen to see that flair bed wagon with the hoist sell?

I am not a IH man really as for tractors, but that 706 and the 350s shown on the auctioneers's website looked pretty good. The 706 had around 2200 hours, I think? Did any of those parts come from Bomholts of St. Rose, do ya know? We had bought some implements thru the years there.

I am about 35 miles west of that sale.

Sounds like a real bad time for the guy with no home & no parts.

Sometimes these old fellows get almost married to their stuff. It is almost like a disease. I had one old fellow almost return a $400 deposit to me because after owning his old red beast for over 50 years it was like pulling teeth to get it.I took a framed picture of him,on the tractor, for the lst time loading it and he was still upset a month later

The sheriff was there, said all he had to do was move, but they couldn't get him out.He still gets the sale money,a lot of the parts didn't bring
much.He supposedly bought out a farmall dealership years ago and had a lot of New old stock parts for M's,300's,560's etc. One pallet had 15 sets of front weights for 300-350 tractors,it brought $200.
