I'm rebuiling a Farmall A Had the crank boiled and turned . I bought mains and crank bearings When I went to put in the crank bearing I noticed they were 1/16 th of an inch narrow side to side than the originals. Should I worry? Thanx Tom. also I notice a small bearing in the Governor that is missing some BB size balls .Where can I find one of those bearings.

The governor bearing you talked about is part number 43481D or 55314D and Farmall Joe,s will have it look up their phone number at their website of the same name.

I think you should check the crankshaft end play.
My manual has the end play from.004" to .008".
This can be checked easily with a dial indicator.
The end play is determined by the rear main bearing. Hal

I have seen this before in some engines especially if the bearings that you took out were the ones the engine was originally assembled with, or are really old. To be safe, I would double check with the folks you got the bearings from just to make sure that you got the right ones. If that checks out I doubt you have anything to worry about, just an update or a substitution of a more popular bearing for this application.
