Do the hydr cylinders have a stop inside or will the shaft come poping right out if its not hooked to something? The reason I'm asking is that I want to take the bucket off of my front end loader and when I do the cylinder won't be attached. I was wondering if I accidently hit the controls then would it pop the shaft out and I'd lose all the fluid. Can this happen or do most cylinders have an internal stop?

No worrys about that the shaft of the cylinder is smaller then the piston so it can't pop out on you unless the shaft has a problem but you would already know that because the cylinder wouldn't be working right

If it's the loader cylinders on the (U34?) loader on the 300U, those don't have a piston. It's a one-way ram, and the shaft is the piston. There is a steel retainer ring on the bottom end of that shaft that will keep the shaft from coming out.
