Hello everyone,i recently purchased an M farmall here in Texas, with power steering,it is a 1949 model "MCH" what does that mean? i havn't cleaned her up yet,and i havn't "researched" for info here yet,cuz i wanna know "now" but is power steering on an M Farmall factory? and if so then it's gotta b rare right? i mean it sure looks professional and it is quite hidden under the hood, fits nicely, and works well, although leaks, that i will repair once i pressure wash the ole girl, anyway i have a model H also and i sure like that one as well, but this M is the first one i've seen with power steering and not that i wish to sell it,but how much more is it worth cuz of the power steering? the tin work is nice, one new tire on rear (goodyear) and other one weather checked, fronts bad,but hold air,and it runs well thanks guys, i sure like this forum Okay i gotta tell ya more, cuz i would want to know too.i mean don't ya just hate it when someone posts that they got a bargain? and then they don't say how much they paid for it? i mean i for one always wanna know! so i'm telli'n> the engine was "stuck" a little, and it broke loose very easily, all i had to do was file points with emory cloth, and clean the carb,it started right up after that, but since then i did have the starter repaired, i give the guy $450.00 for it.. oh and it came with a five foot bush hog too. ~Will
