Howdy, I've been working on my H bellypump for a few days, and I hve the service manual right here in front of me. According to the book,
At 3/4 engine throtle the folling pump capacity is obtained:
Pressure Pounds, PTO Speed, Oil Temp, GPM
800, 540, 91-98, 7-3/4
700, 540, 101-110, 8-1/3
600, 540, 99, 9.43,
500, 540, 100, 9.73
400 540 100 10.3

Now I have a ?
Is the dipstick susposed to be fastened to the filler cap, or does it set on top of the fill pipe?
I didn't think I had the dipstick, but it was down in the tank with the washer missing. ken

Some of the dipsticks were attached to the cap, some of them simply sit on top the pipe. I think the older ones were attached to the cap, but I don't know when the change occured. Either way will work. Personally, I find the dipsticks a nuisance, and have removed it.

The H I have the dipstick is hooked to the plug so it comes out when you remove the plug. I think you have a little problem with yours
