Need a fuel tank for a IH 454

I had a gas tank repaired at a local radiator shop. They blew compressed air through the tank and started soldering. That's when I left. Guess they never had any problem doing this.

A good sheet metal shop may be able to solder a new bottom in your old tank. I've used 275 gallon fuel oil tanks that have had new bottoms welded over the old bottom. Never had any leakage
problems with them. One was in service for 17 years and was installed outside and it went with property when I sold it. I put rust inhibitor in the tank every couple of years and I never let it get empty. You can try this web site for a used

PS: Where I worked, you had to steam clean a gas
tank for 8 hours before any soldering or welding with a flame. If it wasn't repaired after 8 hours, the tank had to be steam clean an additional hour the next day and then repaired.
This was with the US Government and they very safety conscious. I saw doors on a cold chamber that was about 8-inches thick blown clear off their hinges. A test engineer was told of heavy
gasoline fumes in the chamber and he ignored the warning and was working by himself. He connected a jumper cable to the battery and that little
spark cost him his life. They flew him to Ft Sam Houston burn center and he lived for several days.
