I'm a complete novice when it comes to tractors. My dad and I need something mainly for brush hogging and maybe putting in food plots, plowing a garden, grading a road, etc. This one has wide front, live PTO, live hydrolics, 2 & 3 point hitch, and a 5 ft brush hog. Asking $3250. From the picture, it looks pretty nice. Is this a fair price?

Thanks...Stacy

300's and 400's are the best buys around.
Dang if I could read that phone number you might be missing out.
That one would be a good work tractor. Price is about right. Not a steal but not over priced.
Go get her!!! You will love it.

Subtract $350 for the bushog means he is asking $2900 for the tractor, not worth more than $2500 far as I'm concerned, particularly because of the wrong paint scheme, wrong seat and cobbled-up lights.

I would find something with power steering for $3500-$4000.
1. Make sure the hydraulics work when hot
2. 2 pt should not chatter going down
3. Make sure all three values work.
4. Should not jump out of any gear
5. No welds on any casting
6. No shimmy? in front steering

Stacy,

I think that is exactly what it is worth if everything works as it should.

I'm not to wild about that old-style Swartz front end, but who's counting.

If I needed a tractor that size, I'd have 'er on the trailer already.

Allan

Look closly, it's painted way beyond a 350, top of steering cover is white and 350 does not have a red field around the Farmall lettering.

Yea,I noticed that... Somebody obviously liked the white to break up all the red.

Owilly,
This tractor looks great - good metal and rubber! Seat is not original but I'm more into "does it run"!!
It's got a TA, which you'll love. Don't know what kind of terrain you'll use it on, but if there are any hills at all, you'll want the wide front end. Check the fuel sediment bowl for any rust.
'Round my neck-o-the-woods, this Farmall would bring about $3600.00 to $4000.00 - without the bush hog! This is a real nice tractor, and in my opinion, well worth what they're asking for it.
