A fellow called me today to tell me of a gray F12 he would like me to add to my collection. It is 2 miles away so I went there over lunch and found the following. Appears to be a F-12 with cast solid wheels that say Kay Tractor Wheels L.A. Calif. with 11.2-36 new tires. The Hub is different than I've seen before with a 4 bolt clamp on it. The motor is a Waukesha 4 cylinder flathead complete and tucked in there so nice. Was this a conversion or were there some made that way? Tractor looks to be in good shape but has not run in about 10 years. Is this thing worth going after? Appears to be serial no FEB 1039. Migraine

Buy it or I will. I just saw a gawd awful waukesha 12 sell on E-bay for almost $1,600 not even close t complete no tags and stuck. If it is complete you found one of Farmall's F series Holy Grails. Waukis were only in the first few F-12s in 33. The wheels are not origional. Check the serial number, It will be in the usuall F-12 place under the tank. Stamped in the origional hood and the Wukisha engine should have 1933 on a brass tag on it's side.

OK now I'm going to bed wondering why this kind of stuff never happens to me. Here is my Wauki 12 "Rusty" I looked hi and low for over 20 years to find my rust bucket. I ddin't pay high dollar but it is not high dollar material. The Waulisha stuf is mostly all there but I will need later model F12 parts to finish up.

Thank you for the kind response. Yes it has the brass plate on the side with a date code that says Feb 1933. This one has the tractor serial tag up on top of the hood and most of it is still legible. Like I said, these were before my time and we never had one in Iowa so I am really relying on the Farmall experts here to help me out so I don't mess this up. The tractor was repainted gray about 12 years ago I was told tonight. migraine

Hey Sloroll, you're turn will come. I have not got this thing bought or agreed on a price yet. The fellow said today he wants to move it cause it needs a new home. He desperately needs the room so will see what tomorrow brings, Yes Oskaloosa Iowa is hometown for me. Most of the roots are all still there. Keep growing the corn so we get some corn flakes out here in the Northwest. Migraine

My best friend moved to Guemes Island. I am from Grinnell. I think we talked about that once. Stop buy when you are back. I'll be the only Green fellow you see. Envy strikes a deep vein. :? )

I have an early F-12 with solid cast rims that were manufactured in or for a company in Los Angeles. The engine it has in it is IHC but curiously the engine clearly has FSR 649 stamped into the block (its right next to the full pump). The 649 clearly was a Waukesha number. I have it from two experienced friends that the R designation could mean that it delineates the IHC motor as a swap-out during a conversion from the Waukesha. The frame rails were changed as was the front bolster. It is interesting to me that two early F-12s had the same, somewhat unusual solid (originaly red I think)LA rims. You are fortunate to have what seems to be a whole original. That is indeed a rare and a much sought after find I hope to stumble onto someday. I have a couple of friends,M and P (you know who you are)who are calender tractor people that I would love to see get a Waukesha and do a ground up restoration on. If it is completly original (original work clothes/barn fresh)that would be as good or better!

The rubber tires on the Waukishas were a dealer option. They all came from the factory as steel. Depending on where the dealer was or what he could get determined the pneumatic wheels. Mine came fromn the dealer with F&H 40" spokes. They all (Waukeshas) had a single front wheel.

Just posted a picture on the Tractor Photos gallery of a Waukesha F-12 front steel wheel that I just picked up last week. Thought someone may want to see a good original wheel. I was very happy to find it. It is already mounted on my F-12. Now it's back on full correct steel.
