Hi guys,

I"m on holidays this week and thought that I might take a drive to Southern Ontario to check out some tractor parts yards. Do you fellas know of any in the same area as Steve Radfords?
Thanks

Jeff

There is a guy down by dresden that has mostly farmall parts he's getting older and slowing down abit, but still has some parts, i know a guy who went there the other day, the guy was in a dealin mood so he loaded the truck up. I still have to go and pick up oil filter cover for the 6, and who knows what else i might find!. There is also a guy on hwy 2,inbetween here(Ridgetown) and chatham, i heard that he has a bit of old tractor parts. That guy who lives down by techumsy, who has all the 50's farmalls, has a brother who has almost all the ihc tractors from 1938 and down! I have never met these guys. I do know a guy with a nice collection.

Hi Jeff and Hugh, I've been busy, I took on a new job three twelve hour days a week so I haven't been on much. There is a slight chance of showers for the next few days and then I am going to be up to my neck in hay. It is a maintenance job for a friend who owns several farms, one project is to have an old house torn down, lanes gravelled, an old barn foundation broke up and hauled away, that kind of thing, fix screen doors, windows, eaves troughing and so on. Well in addition to Steve(519-523-4922) in Londesborough(about two miles out) Hugh has mentioned Fawcetts(1-800-327-7149). There is a good yard at Teeswater (right off of #4 about one concession from the town) straight up the road from Steve at Ontario Used Tractor parts. If you travell further to Mount Forest there is B&M Agri parts(519-323-4375) If you need manuals there is Haugholme Books at Brucefield. With the exception of Fawcetts all these other places are found on #4 highway so finding them is not that hard, Mount forest is just a jog over from #4). Farmallkid may have some favourite spots for used parts. I was home today, we didn't go to the cottage as we had a family wedding yesterday and everybody is recuperating, spent the morning at the farm, just been lazy this aft. Keep me informed Jeff if I happen to not be busy maybe we can hook up...Hugh drop in if you are going by..Farmallkid is coming for his threshing machine one of these weekends....Mike in Exeter Ontario

Jeff: Michael knows the tractor parts geography much better than I. He's a born and bred southern Ontarian, whereas I'm an immigrant from eastern Canada. I know there is besides Steve Radford, Fawcett's in St Marys. There is Innes in Listowel. Used to be one in Burgessville between Paris and Norwich. They used to advertize in NS. I haven't been able to find that one since moving here.

Michael knows of a few small time operators. There is a guy on old number 2 highway going into Thecumseh, seems to have a lot of larger restored 50s Farmalls. I suspect there a bone yard near by.

Mitch, aka farmallkid may know of a few in Kent or Essex counties.

If your coming down this way drop in, my partime job is only taking up about 60 hours of my time per week right now. I'm usually home by 6 pm. I think Michael's part time job dried up, but then he does more farming than I. So he could be in at 65 hours per week. Speaking of Michael, he has been very quiet on discussions. Could be he's on a trip or just plain Huron Co. hay has him tied up.
