Hey all - Attached are photos of a 1939 McCormick Deering W-30 tractor that followed Calvin & I home from the East coast of the Thumb of Michigan yesterday. The thing runs & drives well. It realistically needs a few days of several tweaks and some fluid changes, and would be good enough for the painting process (scraping, wire wheeling, bumping & them painting) to begin. Per the book, it is a 1939 and was originally ordered from the factory with rubber tires, thus giving it a road gear. None of the tires match nor look all that good. It has 4 speeds, is crank start (and started right up after sitting nearly 4 years on some pretty smelly gas), and per the book, weighs a little over 5000 lbs. We have lots of stuff going on at home these next few weeks that is unfortunately not tractor related, thus it won't get a lot of attention for a few weeks, but we will be working to make sure it is ready for the Riverbend Steam & Gas show in Allendale, MI on July 15-16.
