Man.. that's a big bucket!

I went all the way from Central IL to Ohio on thursday and picked up the IH 2000 loader. Put 1000 miles on the truck since then. Now I have my buddys trailer to go all the way to northern WI to get the Farmall 656 next Tuesday.

As to wether of not it will easily fit on the farmall 656 seems to be a point of disagreement. I guess I will just have to wait and see what needs to be done. That bucket is huge. If anyone has a regular 200 loader bucket or similar that will fit, or forks (or a 3pt backhoe in any condition) I'm interested!

If anyone is interested, I will post pics of the trip to get the tractor. Thanks for all your help in collecting up the loader and tractor.. I'm sure I will have more questions. I'm sure glad there are guys who like answering questions.. I sure have enough of them haha.

Have a great 4th!

Darren

Darren, I would like to see a close-up photo of the rear of the sub-frame of your loader ,also of the things on the underside of the frame, near the front, which are supporting the frame off the floor of your trailer. Are they welded on to the frame? I have a 2000 loader on a F-856 also a 2001 loader on a I-504. Neither of my loaders have anything welded on the underside front of the frame, nor do my operators manuals show anything resembling them for use on any of the various tractor models for which the loader was designed. If they are welded on , I suspect someone has made modifcations to it to adapt that loader to something other than tractors it was designed for. That is a large bucket for that loader and if it is a factory IH bucket , it is for loose light weight materials. I noticed reinforcement steel has been welded onto the sides of the front arms of the boom. Also it appears that some has been added to the front of the sub-frame.

Darren,

Nice loader for sure. I was drawn to the picture of the corn crib and shed. Then the concrete blocks holding the tin roof on. Have a good 4th. Dale

Dale,

I did that roofing job myself haha. That was a little bit of necessity on one incredibly windy day about 4 years ago, and it has worked so well I just left it. That building is scheduled to be fixed up sometime in the next 2 or 3 years though, so it is only temporary.. if temporary means 7 years :)

I had same loader on a 340D/TA I sold to Farmer Bob on this board, nice loader worked well for a number of years. Also if the tractor will not fit between the trailer finders by driving it on, back it on over the fenders by putting blocking just inside each fender backing the tractor over the fenders this the back wheels or up on the front of the trailer. Turn the tractor a little to the right or left after you have it over the fenders an it should fit alright. I don't know if you have load levelers on the trailer or not but in any case they help alot with all loads. I did this with a F20 which I hauler from Indian to Washington State without any problem, granted a 656 is alot heavier but a short distance of a few hundred miles an a slow pace should not hurt. Main thing is any way you load it make sure its safe for you an the people your going to be traveling along with an around you. Will be looking for you along the since I travel I94 an I80 alot at times. BTW there is alot of constuction now on I94 an I80 junction at night so if your traveling that way you might want to take the Skyway thought the windy city

Meant that to say an IH 2000 loader bucket.. not 200. Here is the big truck with the loader and trailer. That truck is a '99 and I bought it off of Ebay with 98,000 on it. Lived its whole life in Florida and only towed a boat about a dozen times. I love ebay!
