Im a new owner of a M. I was wondering how the hyd. worked. It has one outlet. Can I add more or do I need a live hyd. pump?

Super Ms came two ways, depending on what year they were manufactured, what options were ordered, and what the owner(s) did to the tractor.

1. Belly pump
2. Distributor drive (live hydraulics)

Both are "one way" hydraulics unless a control valve was plumbed in.

What do you mean by "one outlet?" On a modern tractor, I would consider one pair of connectors as "one outlet."

the belly pump, if that is what you have, has 3 ports. 2 are instant pressure and one is a delayed port for trailing impl. that you want the rear to raise after the front. it was designed for lift-all rams which are single acting cyl. power up...float down. this can be overcome by adding an IH optional remote control valve. this is installed with the belly pump valve in the on position which then supplies pressure to the remote valve. it then gives you power up and power down. very handy for a haybine and such. otherwise single cyl. are good for sickle bars and the like. hope this helps and welcome to the wonderful world of M ownership.

Depends on what you are doing. If it has a belly pump, it should have 3 outlets, two on the left, one on the right. Perhaps two of them are capped.
