I rebuilt the carb on my 46 H and now it surges at a high idle. Not real bad but it ran far better before I rebuilt the carb. I tried adjusting the carb but am not sure what I am really doing? I followed the directions that I got with the kit but it wont run right. I made sure everything was clean before reasambly. How do I adjust this??
Thanks for the help.
Andrew

Andrew, somehow that program that installs those links is running on your computor. Try your "add - remove" programs section, see if theres anything you don't recognize & un-install it - This kind of junk gets in with other programs you download, you need a firewall too, helps to keep the riffraff out -

I am glad you didn't include the link on purpose and I apologize for thinking you might have done it as a joke.

Are you sure you got the shaft between the carb & the governor in the slot on the carb? If you don't get that square shaft properly placed in the side of the carb, H's (& M's) will surge. Also, the shaft that goes between the top of the governor & the carb can bind, this will cause it to surge as well. I'd take the carb off & make sure the shaft is properly alligned, if you are sure you have the carb cleaned thoroughly. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Jal, good advice, also, where the throttle shaft is attached to the governor, loosen those two screws and wiggle the tube a bit, then retighten the screws. This should allow the shaft to align itself so it isn't binding.

I don't know about others who read this forum but I don't care to see that type of link included. There's a place for everything I suppose, but not mixed in here.

You probably still have some junk in it some where. A lot of time when you open them up you knock loose some junk and it ends up just where you don't want it and causes problems. Been there done that too many times.

Andrew, you've got a worm.
Get yourself a good anti virus program and run it.
