Well I decided to replace my old sleeves and pistons on my 706 my self. $460 is cheap enough I guess. Any one got a line on where to get a disk to pull the sleeves. I have a puller but only have the disks for a 300,350, 400 and a H

In the long run I think you will be glad you rebuilt the engine you have. I have a feeling that those combine engines would cost you more in the end as you would end up rebuilding them to. Just make sure you don't cut corners on the valve job. A good job is critical to these gassers. As for the puller disk just have your local machine shop make one if you can't borrow one. Make sure to keep us posted and don't forget pictures. Good Luck!

Kelly,

Just have your local machine shop make one for your puller. Bring your puller in and one of the new sleeves and they will take it from there.

I went to my local IH dealer shop. The mechs there had a box with about 25 puller discs. I was able to borrow one for 1/2 day, which is all I needed. Cost me a 12 pack.
