Hey guys. I just got done installing a 2 spool open center hyd. valve on my M. One spool is operating a 2 stage cylinder on my 3 point, the other plumbed for a single action cylinder on my loader. My question is that the return line always forces oil out my fill plug that is vented. Do I have to much oil in it?? I wouldnt think that you would want a solid plug instead of vented....but not sure. Can someone shed some light on my situation? Thanks a bunch guys. Harley.

There are two ways to fix it. Either plumb your return line to the bottom of your belly tank or install a new vent in top of the belly tank.

I think there was some kind of diesel bleeder valve used in the hole on the cap. When the two way valve is in use the bleeder valve would be closed. When the pump is used for one way the valve needs to be open to vent.

Do you have any pictures you can post on your new M plumbing?

I'll try to get a picture but not sure when I'll get time. I extended the fill hole with a 3" x 1/2" pipe and put a 45 degree elbow on it, but still have the same problem. I wonder about plumbing the return to the bottom side. I would rather have it on top but not sure it will work that way. The return is constantly in use I believe. It acts as a by pass when the new valve is in the neutral position. One port on the single action cylinder spool was also plumbed into the return. I dont have a bracket welded up for my valve yet so a picture might not do it justice. I'll see what I can do.
