Hey all, I was wondering why the 140's I have seen don't have oil breathers while 100/130's do. Is it located in a different spot or do they just not have them? Thanks Ramon

Ranmon, I believe the oil breather is still there, it just doesnt come through the hood.

Jon: I believe you may be right as it applies to some of the first 140s with old type grill. All 140s that I have seen have a crankcase breather under the hood and oil fill cap is on top of the governor. I have seen hundreds of 140s with 06 type grill and without fail none have hole in hood for oil fill cap and crankcase breather. I have one and it is a mid 1963 model.

Jon, I looked at all the 140's I could find in the tractor photo section and couldnt find an oil breather through the hood.Just the air cleaner stack in the back. I own a Super A and it does go through the hood. Here is one picture I will try and paste on this thread.
