So,

Yesterday morning, I had trouble gettin' the old 686 with the 310 to start. Normally, it is running 'fore she spins over twice. Even had to give 'er a little squirt of either. It just acted like it didn't wanna go.

Worried all blessed day about that goofy tractor; is the pump going bad, loosing compression or what? Drove myself nuts frettin' over my favorite little tractor!

Then..... ....I just now happen to notice that it was only 49 degrees yesterday morn. Hmmmm, thought it felt a little chilly out there! :>)

Allan, I have two 310's 706 and 756 the fuel shut off will settle out in the sweet spot on the 706 when I shut it off just turn the key on a crank until about 30 degrees, the 756 doesn't, not that many hrs on a over haul and new pump needs either at 50 degrees.

Allan: Could you post a photo of yourself? First you worry about 966 bull gear whine, now 310 German diesel pump. You've been on that one before and there have been countless other worries in between. I'm just kind of curious as to what an old WORRY WART looks like? Quite sure I know a couple other old worry warts, and just want to compare, see if there are any outstanding physical features.
