Thanks to ones that helped. The cub is fixed. The carb had the wrong needle and seat in it. I had bought one from TSC and did not pay any attention when I rebuilt it that the needle and seat was not the right one. Assembled the carb and she ran fine untill under a load and bam cut off. Went to local Case IH or CNH and bought the correct needle and seat. The one at TSC was a little longer causing it to screw in to far not alowing enough fuel in the bowl when under a load. BEWARE OF TSC REBUILD KITS ON THE CUB.

GNB and guys...

Sure glad you were able to solve the problem!

That is one of the reasons why I started the Cub Manual Server. Not only is it an on-line reference for manuals of all types for the Cub, but more importantly there are other interesting pages.

The Maintenance Tips and Techniques section contains many articles written by Cub Owners who have been there, done that. In fact Lurker Carl's articles on Cub Carb Fixes is one that should be a must read for anyone who owns a Cub. It is limited to the IH 3/4" Updraft carb at the moment as we have not done any rebuilds with documentation on the Zeniths yet.

There are also lists of specialty service providers, used and new part dealers that specialize in Cub parts as well as tons of other useful information.

The Cub Manual Server can be found at www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/index.html. Unfortunately, after YTM requested permission to link to the server which was granted, they now no longer seem to allow links to offsite web pages. A real shame considering that there are many avenues for information on Cubs on the Net that are not allowed access to anymore...

Rusty:

The links work when previewing and even once it is posted. However, once you get to see the forum again in the body of the messages, the link is inoperative.

I have tried it on many computers and many OS's, same deal. Big Dog also has reported inoperative links. >Link

I am getting confused....

I am hopefully going to get my computer rebuilt and load XP Pro on it -- we will see what happens then.

I am hoping that maybe, just maybe there is an outside chance that it is my OS, but I doubt it...

Yep. It only pays to get the original rebuild kit for the Cub carbs. An improvement is to get a neoprene tipped needle and valve from a Cub Cadet dealer. Helps to stop the leaking.

It isn't just carb kits, I won't buy anything for a tractor at TSC, or any other farm supply store.
