I was at a tractor show this weekend and ran across a farmall bn. It had a tricycle frontend with twin tires. My cousin told me that they only came with a single tire. I questioned the owner about it and he said you could get them either way. He said you could get dual wheels for an extra $40.00. Does anyone know if this is true. BTW He was asking $3750 for the tractor.

I have two BNs. There was choice of fronts. #1 adjustable rims,#2fixed rims,#3 two sizes of single wheel all were options. Two sizes of duals were also an option for the rear along with three sizes of rear rims. And the price is reasonable if the condition goes along. Just rebuild one new engine seals tires and so on. Not everyone can do all the tasks required without outside help.

Actually, according to an article in Red Power Magazine a few years back, they made about 15,000 BN's

Thanks Red Dave for the info. In South Texas you don"t see many BN"s if any at all. Quite a few B"s though.

Choice of B vs. BN was a regional thing. Bs were common in much of Texas.

Some of the guys that farmed in sand put some really wide tires on them. I would like to know where I could get some wide rims, 12" or so.

$3750 is a little steep -- the front ends are interchangeable.
