In a recent posting about poorly priced tractors, someone voiced their displeasure regarding my Pinto powered F-12. I purchased it for the rear wheels and tires (using on a M-M JTU) and decided to sell the rest. Someone had a lot of fun putting this contraption together. For the record, I decided to list it on YT photo ads for $300 (did not ask $500 as someone claimed). I never told anyone to "hurry up and get it out of my yard", although I did say I could not store it for several months. Six hours after I listed it, I returned a phone call, and it was sold. "Blueberry Mike" arrived the very next day with his own set of steel wheels and enthusiasticly drove it on his trailer. It will be painted up and joining his fleet of Farmall F-series where people buying berries in New Buffalo, MI can see them. Thanks again Mike. No one ever got a raw deal from me and no one ever will.

I have a homebuilt that was built by a Cockshutt engineer, Austin engine, Ford dif, 3 point hitch. Most people think it's very unique and was worth the effort that it took to restore it. Some people on the other hand don't give it a second look,,,,, ,to each his own.
( It was on it's way to China, and I paid twice the scap value for it..... ...)

I don't see anything wrong with it. If I had a engineless tractor and some other engine laying around, I'd be considering this swap too!!

You must have a lot of your self worth wrapped up in that thing to crow over it, let alone to admitting former ownership. I guess it just goes to show there's one born every minute.

Nah, I'm satisfied with my M-M tractors. No need to keep this machine. I wasn't suckered, I knew exactly what I had when I bought it. In the pulling world, the rims and tires were worth what I paid for it. I'm glad someone else could get a kick out of it for no more than they put in to it.

The one thing I don't understand is why ANYBODY would put another man's equipment down. If it's yours and you want it painted black, with 10.00X20 tires on the front and 38.6X24 tires on the back with a 4" chrome straight stack, so be it. I look at a tractor like this and marvel at all the engineering by some good ole boy that it took to mate the various engines to the drivetrains of these 60+ year old tractors. Just Git er done, Harley

I'm sure not going to find fault with it, after-all, I've heard some people will even paint their Farmalls yellow.

It's not what I would want to do with it, but it sure beats sending it to a furnace in China.

Like I said, different strokes for different folks!
