I am having a problem with my pto it acts like a slipping clutch. I called Bates Corp in Northern Indiana and they tell me it will cost in excess of $500.00 for the parts. Does anyone know about these? I am told by Bates there are 2 diffrent kinds. 1 with a band and 1 with plates. Supposedly I have the 1 with plates. Is there any adjustement ect. How about a used one out there. Any help would be great...Don

Don Your 350 should have the Band PTO unless some one changed it. The clutch type did not come until the later 460 560.

I have 300U and it has two adjusting screws on the pto housing. Mine slips when the brushchopper gets in thick high grass, I just raise and let it wind up and get back at it. The IT manual has a good explanation as does the owners manual. I"m sure someone in here knows the adjustment procedure.
