I want to put a loader on a 300U int. I can't find an answer to where the hyd. pump is. I have a pump ahead if the dist. but the ITT says it's in the torque tube. Does anyone have a diagram showing the hyd. routing so that I know where to pipe in for the loader. I am going to try to fit a loader from a Ford 8N on the 300U-any thoughts?-any help would be appreciated, or if anyone has fitted one of these loaders on a 300U-comment please.
thanks-ron

I have a couple 300U"s. The hyd levers attach on the right hand side of the seat on resevoir housing. Your bucket will be plumbed to those valves. The pump is usually aluminum and is mounted to the engine block as you described in front of the dist. Steering..check the fluid level under front of seat. Fill to proper level and work out air by turning wheel side to side(assuming you have pwr steering). There could be a host of other problems.

I can turn the wheel on my 300U 180 degrees before anything happens. Is there any easy fix rather than a major disassembly required?
thanks-ron

No power steering, right? The gears in the box might be worn. There are adjusting screws with jamb nuts to help tighten them. The ball joints on the steering arms might be worn also. I had a freeman trip bucket loader on my 300U. I ruined the steering box once, bent both steering arms several times, finally took the loader off. Outback in the weeds. If you decide to do it and need the control valve for the side of the reservoir, I have two, I think. Gus
