Re: Super A - 100 - 130 - 140 Best Rear Tire Size? in reply to Cityboy-McCoy, 09-14-2005 15:18:19

I have an A and a Super A, both with 9.5x24's on them (the "new" numbering system equivalant of the 9x24's) and they do fine. We plow snow, run the dirt plow, drag, disk, cultivate, and other misc uses. At times the 11.2x24's would be handy, but for general purpose I find the 9.5's to work pretty well. Just be careful of the mud, they do dig down quick. If you want to go really big, I had some 14x24's ("new" numbering I think they are 16.9x24's) on the Super A, on the correct rims for the large size, but, as mentioned, it really sped up the tractor and i did lose a little power. But I had no problem's getting stuck, the darn thing just floated. Hopefully others, such as Dave BN, can help with where to get them. Depends on if you want new or you may get lucky and find a good set of used tires. Good luck and have fun. Mike@NY
