Hi, I own a 600D, serial no. 1828. There were only about 1500 of these made total. They were built in 1956 only and were rated at 67 horsepower at the PTO. They elvolved from the W-9 and Super W-9, and the 650 came after them, so there are parts that will work for all of those, like your wheel rim, but there are differences too. Some parts are easy to come by, while others are near impossible to get (like the verticle stainless trim in the middle of the grill).
Diesels were most common, but gas and LP gas could be had too. Some were equiped with a hand clutch (like some MM"s!), power steering, single or double hydraulics, PTO, belt pulley, etc.
Their value increases because of their rarity, but decreases because of their size, and in your case, the potential expense of a tight motor. The value when restored is never as much as you may have in it, like any other old tractor. A good original in running condition might be $2500 to $4000. Restored, who knows?
It was the biggest wheel tractor made by IH in "56 and I love mine, but it isn"t a "handy" tractor. The engine produces over 500 ft/lbs of torque with 350 c.i.d. so it is great fun to work it and feel the power! Post back if you want me to rattle on more about it.
